SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of building materials and compositions of crude mixtures for making heat-insulation articles. The crude mixture for making heat-insulation articles contains the following, wt %: non-sintering acid clay 65.8 - 68.8, expanded pearlite ground to specific surface area of 4500 - 5000 cm2/g 20.0 - 24.0, bentonite 2.0 - 3.0, sodium tripolyphosphate 0.1 - 0.2, wollastonite ground to specific surface area of 4500 - 5000 cm2/g 3.0 - 5.0, quartz sand 3.0 - 5.0.
EFFECT: high water resistance of articles made from the crude mixture.
