FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in field of medicine, namely in dentistry and is intended for diagnostics of temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Three-axis sensor of acceleration is installed and adjusted on lower jaw chin. Vacuum headphones with built-in microphones are inserted into external auditory canal. In examination of lower jaw movements by means of three-axis sensor of acceleration trajectory of all movements of lower jaw in three planes is registered. Pathological sounds which appear in TMJ: clicking, clicks, crunch, crepitation, are simultaneously identified by means of microphone. Microphones and three-axis sensor of acceleration are simultaneously integrated on microprocessor. Obtained information is transmitted on computer by means of microprocessor by radiosignal. All transmitted materials are printed, fixed in medical history and analysed by doctor in patient's management.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out differential diagnostics, calculate idealised ratio of jaws due to simultaneous registration and analysis of lower jaw movements and sounds of different character during mouth opening and closing.
