FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: rolling mill clamp comprises locking device arranged at bed 1. Device design is improved by making said locking device 2 displacing vertically and horizontally. It comprises locking elements 4, 6, 9 to allow said locking device 2 to be locked for axial displacement of roll jointly with pad 3 and to lock thrust bearing housing 5 relative to roll pad 3. Note here that locking elements 4, 6, 9 lock transfer carriage 7 at position of rolls transfer. Pin 10 is arranged and fixed axially at said pad 3 to be guides by thrust bearing housing 5. Said housing 5 is equipped with retainer 8 to be engaged with pin 10 extending from thrust bearing housing 5 fix axial distance between said pad 3 and housing 5 in rolls transfer.
EFFECT: combined locking of rolls in rolling and transfer carriage in rolls transfer.
