ROLLING STAND OF ROLLING MILL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly four-high rolling stand of wide strip rolling mill. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes frames, rolling and backup rolls with chocks, units for axial fixation of rolling roll chocks provided with latches and axial load pickups built in said units. The last are mounted on front surface of struts of frame at side of roll changing. Chocks of rolling rolls of that side have shoulders and they are mounted in stand with gaps between shoulders and front surface of frame struts. Shoulders have lateral lengthwise grooves. Stems of latches are introduced into said grooves. Lifting beams are mounted on chocks of lower backup roll for moving along them (on runners) chocks of lower rolling roll at changing process. Limiting stops are provided on inner lateral surfaces of struts for fixing upper position of lifting beams and chocks of rolling rolls at changing rolls. There are grooves on turned to frame surfaces of shoulders of chock of lower rolling roll. Spacing straps are secured to front surfaces of frame struts and they are arranged opposite relative to grooves at working position of chock. Thickness of spacing straps is equal to gap values between shoulders and front surface of struts. Description of invention includes relations determining length values of grooves of shoulders of chocks and positions of spacing straps relative to limiting stops. EFFECT: lowered time intervals for roll changing and reduced idle periods of rolling mill. 2 cl, 6 dwg
