FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: direct current generator includes an armature and a rotor with salient-pole core and different number of poles of armature and rotor, power windings consisting of several coils, which are connected to each other in parallel to load through isolation diodes, each of which is located on its group of poles, as well as excitation windings (EW) and constant magnets. According to the invention, in section(s) of the armature core, which separate(s) a group(s) of poles with similar direction of coil winding relative to direction of actuation of isolation diodes from the rest core, there located are constant magnets directed with their poles opposite to each other. When activating EW in series with load, an output signal can either be amplified or cancelled by having obtained a steeply falling characteristic at welding. When activating EW parallel to the generator output, output voltage can be regulated or stabilised. The main specific feature of the proposed DC generator consists in the fact that generation is performed only during the pole opening period, during which load current always biases initial magnetic field, and that magnetic conductors of cores of rotor and stator are made so that magnetic conductivity does not change at the rotor rotation.

EFFECT: simplifying an excitation circuit of DC generators of valve-inductor type at simultaneous reduction of its overall dimensions.
