SUBSTANCE: invention refers to disposable absorbent products, and more specifically to thigh panels for disposable absorbent products and to a method for making them. The disposable absorbent product comprises an absorbent joint having a lining from the body side, an external coating, an absorbent structure, a front waist area, a second waist area, a wedge shaped piece, longitudinally opposite ends and transversally opposite side ends. A pair of the thigh panels couples the first and second waist areas together. One of the thigh panels extends transversally behind the side ends in one of the two first and second waist areas. Each of the thigh panels has an upper edge, a lower edge, fixed and free ends. One of the upper and lower edges has a length, and is bent along at least a part of its length. The bent parts of the upper and lower edges are substantially identical.

EFFECT: invention provides the correct alignment of the absorbent product placed on the user's body and made with using less material and minimum waste fraction.
