FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: initial angles of thyristor opening from beginning of positive half-wave of the mains voltage sine curve at switched on shunt devices in power circuit are set for cathode group of thyristors as equal to π, 3π, etc. and for anode groups as equal to 0, 2π, 4π, etc. or equal to 150° in case of angles opening from the moment of thyristor natural commutation; then at increase of control signal these pulses are phase shifted either in positive or negative half-wave of the sine curve thus excluding balancing current; regulating characteristic is calculated according to formula which is linear at the working area, at that transfer coefficient of thyristor converter does not depend on current strength and intermittency.

EFFECT: excluding static balancing currents, reversed voltage and current at zero speed of the motor, eliminating dependency of amplification factor for the thyristor converter on strength of load current and on intermittent and constant current modes.
