FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, specifically poultry farming. A vaccine preparation containing 1.0×105-3×105 microbial cells of the stain E. coli "B-5" in physiological saline 1 cm3 is administered orally by feeding in proportions of the preparation and water 1:15-25. Herewith the strain E. coli "B-5" grown at 42°C is used.
EFFECT: method enables the effective prevention of colibacillosis in young chickens that is ensured by using the live vaccine possessing the high immunogenic and protective properties by changing the strain properties and activating the enzymatic activity of the chickens.
