SUBSTANCE: glass-fibre wrapping material has wide application in industry: in heat- and soundproofing materials, shielding materials and floor coatings. The thermally cross-linked non-formaldehyde water-resistant adhesive composition contains polyacrylic acid, a cross-linking agent and a catalyst, the catalyst used being oxalic acid. Aqueous polyacrylic acid solution is used. The cross-linking agent used is a polyol containing two or more hydroxyl groups. The polyol used can be glycerine or triethanolamine.
EFFECT: wider range of agents used in producing binder compositions for articles made of glass fibre.
