FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: surface of a carrier is divided into sections which divide data in digital and analogue formats. An optical disc is used to simultaneously store, record and reproduce analogue and digital information on a spiral track. A varying relief is formed on the track, which reflects changes in sound waves from the source of the analogue signal on the information storage layer. When the record is read by an optical receiver of the reflected laser beam and the signal is converted from optical to analogue, the signal is varied according to duration and power of the reflected optical signal on the spiral track of the carrier.
EFFECT: high volume of recorded information per unit area of the carrier.
