FIELD: information and recording equipment. SUBSTANCE: recording unit is designed as optical system, which comprises at least one membrane, which oscillates under sound pressure, coherent light emitter, which illuminates membrane oscillations, and optical head, which records wave surfaces of membranes as holograms in photo sensitive layer of rotating holographic disk. In addition, optical head of reader is equipped with semi-transparent mirror, focusing lens, light-emitting diode or semiconductor laser and flat photodetectors. In pulse to recording of tracks with service information represented by binary sequence, method involves storage of main information as focused holograms of wave surfaces of membranes. Method for information reading involves generation of reference beam, which is identical to beam generated upon recording, reproduction of wave surfaces of membranes, projecting them to flat photodetectors and converting produced interference patterns into electric signal, which is amplified. EFFECT: increased density of acoustic signal recording, improved quality for storing of three-dimensional sound characteristics. 2 cl, 2 dwg
