FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: jet engine comprises air intake cowling including two separate, in fact, tubular sections. Sections include first air intake section displacing forward and section secured to engine structure. Clearance is arranged between said first and second sections. Note here that said clearance allows bypassing when sections are located in immediate proximity and low-speed additional air function when sections are separated by a wider clearance.
EFFECT: improved air pressure conditions.
