FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes a system for displaying completed scenarios closest, in terms of the situation, to a redeveloped scenario, a system for selecting and correcting the training scenario closest, in terms of the situation, to the redeveloped training scenario, a system for inputting situational description of the new version of the training scenario, a system for automatically evaluating the situational relevance of the training scenarios, a system for storing completed training scenarios and situational description thereof. An operator defines the description of a new training scenario in form of a situational description, i.e. in a generalised, typified and compressed form. Further, automatic estimation of the strength of the associative link between completed scenarios and new training scenarios is carried out. Based on the obtained estimates, the version of the scenario which is closest, in terms of concept, to the new version is selected from the completed scenarios. Initial data for simulating the environment, corresponding to the selected old scenario, are used to generate initial data for simulating the environment based on the new version of the scenario.

EFFECT: cutting labour input on developing new training scenarios twenty- to thirty-fold.
