FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a non-hydratable crystal form (polymorph A) of 3-bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-[4-cyano-2-methyl-6-[(methylamino)-carbonyl]phenyl]-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamide (compound 
1), which is characterised by an X-ray diffraction pattern having reflection angle peaks given in the claim. According to the invention, the method involves heating a hydratable crystal form of compound 1 (polymorph B), having X-ray diffraction characteristics given in the claim, at temperature from about 40°C to the boiling point of the solvent of the mixture, which contains a solvent selected from a group consisting of water, n-heptane, 1-chlorobutane, toluene, 1-butanol and 1-pentanol.
EFFECT: obtaining a stable polymorph A of compound 1, which enables to obtain stable solid insecticide compositions.
