FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine comprises a body with oppositely located cylinders and heads, pistons connected to each other with a stem and capable of movement along the axis of the stem, the value of which is equal to the value of travel of the inlet valve, spring-loaded cartridges of cylinders, movable along their axis by the value of travel of the outlet valve, relative to the heads with prechambers arranged in them with supersonic nozzles, and equipped with conical faces, contacting with seats in heads, jackets of a cooling system, with inlet and outlet valves, a spark system of ignition equipped with permanent magnets on a stem and sealed contacts interacting with them on the body. On the outer surface of the central part of the stem, with the diameter equal to the piston diameter, symmetrically relative to the hole for passage of an inlet pipeline made as double-channel and tightly connected with a nozzle, providing for smooth transition towards the cavity of the stem, at both sides there is a pair (or several pairs) of identical closed zigzag-shaped grooves of semicircular cross section with amplitude of oscillations relative to the plane of the normal axis of the stem equal to the half of the piston travel, with which a pair of conical gears interacts by teeth towards each other, mounted on rolling bearings in bosses of opposite walls of the body. Coaxially to holes for passage of the stem, via balls placed in hemispherical seats of the inner surface of conical gear hubs, with quantity equal to quantity of maximum deviations of the grooves at one side from the plane of symmetry, are mounted on the stem of the gear so that in process of reciprocal motion of the stem the gears rotate towards opposite sides and are connected via the third conical gear with the power takeoff shaft. Centres of grooves, balls and hemispherical seats are arranged at any position of the stem at one straight normal axis of the stem. At both ends of the stem there are pistons fixed with the help of balls evenly distributed along the circumference of the stem, capable of movement together with the piston along the grooves of the semicircular cross section along generatrices of the stem relative to its power bottom. The inner part of the bottom is equipped with holes for passage of the combustible mixture, and in its central part there is a bushing with rectangular multiturn thread and a groove in the external end part with a plate of a spring-loaded valve arranged in it for preliminary sealing of the inlet slot.
EFFECT: elimination of loads that are normal to a stem axis, improved cooling and reduced resistance of an inlet pipeline.
