FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, namely to production of humic biologically active feed additives. The method of production of the humic feed additive from peat for poly-gastric animals lies in alkaline hydrolysis of valley peat with aqueous ammonia solution in the presence of hydrogen peroxide under heating, followed by separation of the liquid phase. The resulting mother humic solution is mixed with aqueous solution of potassium iodide at the rate of obtaining the final product containing 1% humic acids and 0.0109-0.0163% potassium iodide, including 0.008-0.012 % iodide ion. The feed additive is fed in an amount of 1 ml per 10 kg body weight of the animal per day.
EFFECT: improved productive qualities of animals and the elimination of iodine deficiency are provided, in particular the method provides for prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency in poly-gastric animals and increase in the profitability of milk production.
