FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to devices for production of tuberous roots squash during laboratory studies. The device contains a frame, a disc saw connected to the drive mechanism and guides attached to the frame either side of the disc saw with a plate having a cutout positioned in the guides so that to be capable of movement along them. Hinged to the plate are grappler arms with teeth for retention of tuberous roots. The plate having a cutout is equipped with a drive based on a cylindrical linear asynchronous motor and a resilient mechanical energy accumulator mounted between the plate having a cutout and the frame. The resilient accumulator is positioned between the plate and the frame. The plate stroke towards the disc saw is limited by the position sensor. The grappler arms are interconnected via the elastic element.
EFFECT: invention usage will allow to enhance accuracy of tuberous roots squash analysis during laboratory studies.
