FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: impregnation quality is controlled in accordance with the impregnation coefficient determined on the basis of measured values of equivalent heat capacity of windings before and after impregnation. At the same time the equivalent heat capacities of each controlled winding are determined by means of supply of stabilised DC current to a wire of impregnated and non-impregnated winding, for different periods of time, t1 and t2, accordingly, and definition of energy and temperature of the winding wire supplied to the wire, both at the moment of supply of stabilised DC current to their wire, and upon expiration of time t1 and t2. The time periods t1 and t2 are determined based on comparison of characteristics of actual impregnated and non-impregnated winding with an idealised non-impregnated and impregnated winding. The idealised winding is such winding, heat conductivity of components of which is infinitely high, and the winding is ideally heat insulated from environment and a magnetic core. The invention specifies how to define the mentioned time periods t1 and t2, when the actual winding may be considered ideal. Using the times t1 and t2 during control of impregnation quality, it is possible to reduce methodological errors to the limit.
