FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: device for defuzzing the beetroot seeds comprises a charging funnel, a housing and a working element located in it in the form of a truncated cone fixed to a driving shaft. Between the surfaces of the housing and the working element the defuzzing chamber is formed. The working element is mounted with its large base downwards, and the abrasive coating is applied on its surface. The working element is made with a central angle α which is larger than the central angle of the conical housing β. Sectional area of the outlet of the defuzzing chamber is not less than the area of its input section. The housing is made of two detachable parts, obtained by the horizontal plane section. On the inner conical surface of the upper part of the housing with a generatrix with the length L there are three sites in the form of truncated cones obtained by a section of two horizontal planes, so that the generatrix of the upper, middle and lower cones and the inner conical surface of the housing are located at the same line. The upper, middle and lower cones have the generatrix with the length respectively of 1/6 L, 2/6 L, 3/6 L, and protrusions in the form of pyramids of different heights respectively of 0.75-1.00 mm; 0.50-0.75 mm and 0.25-0.50 mm. At the base of the conical working element a spacer plate in the form of a truncated cone is installed, the diameter of the upper base of which is equal to the diameter of the lower base of the conical working element. The central angle γ of the spacer plate is equal to the central angle β of the conical inner surface of the housing. The length of the generatrix of the spacer plate H=(1/6-1/2)L. The lower part of the housing is made in the form of a cylinder which inner diameter is larger than the diameter of the lower base of the conical inner surface of the upper part of the housing. In the lower part of the housing with a gap relative the truncated cone, and a mesh cylinder with a nozzle tapering in the lower part is mounted coaxially to it. The diameter of the upper part of the mesh cylinder is equal to the diameter of the lower base of the spacer plate, and the diameter of the cells is 1-3 mm. In the lower part of the drive shaft the fan impeller is rigidly mounted to create airflow for removal of wastes of defuzzing from the chamber, formed by the lower part of the housing and the mesh cylinder, through the holes of the mesh cylinder in the nozzle.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to improve the quality of the pre-sowing processing of sugar beet seeds, and to reduce the percentage of injured and crushed seeds.
