FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: plant for pre-sowing treatment of seeds of melons and gourds comprises a seed hopper, a treatment chamber made in the form of a bath. The seed hopper is made in the form of a mesh basket with mesh cells preventing passing the seeds to be treated through the cells, the basket is hingedly mounted on crosspiece beams, and the beams are fixed to a drive shaft having the possibility to adjust the rotation speed. The drive shaft is mounted over the bath filled with a bischofite-type sulfate solution heated to 80°C, of the formula MgCl2*6H2O. To drive the shaft with the crosspiece beams, a geared motor is used; the shaft rotation speed ensures the possibility to hold the basket in the bath within 60…65 sec. Improving the quality of seed treatment is ensured by a bubbling device, comprising jet formers connected to a pumping unit.
EFFECT: ensures the possibility to adjust the time of the preparation impact on seeds, simplifying the design and increasing the yield of melons and gourds.
