FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: applied is lower layer of titanium, silicon and chromium nitrides at the following ratio of components in wt %: titanium - 87.5-93.4, silicon - 0.6-1.0, chromium - 8.5-10.0. Then mid layer of carbonitride of titanium, silicon and chromium is applied at the following ratio of components, wt %: titanium - 87.5-93.4, silicon - 0.6-1.0, chromium - 8.5-10.0. Then upper layer of carbonitride of titanium and silicon is applied at the following ratio of components in wt %: titanium - 98.5-99.1, silicon - 0.61.5. Coating layers are applied horizontally in one plane by three cathodes. First and second cathode are made of titanium and silicon alloy and arranged in opposition while third cathode is made of titanium and aluminium and arranged there between. Lower and mid layers are applied by three cathodes while upper layer is applied by first and second cathodes.
EFFECT: higher cutting efficiency.
