FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel includes body (1), gear rim with teeth (2) and a pair of annular end patch pieces fixed on the body and covering teeth edges. Gear rim is made of separate teeth that are not connected to each other. Each tooth (2) is hinged in patch pieces so that it can be turned to both sides in the wheel rotation plane. Between bottoms of teeth and the body there are gaps filled with elastic material (13).
EFFECT: improving gear wheel reliability.
