FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of thermal cleaning of a flow (Ro) of spent air containing oxidised substances, by means of thermal afterburning, where the flow of spent air (flow of uncleaned gas) (Ro), containing oxidised substances, is sent via a multi-stage recuperative heat exchange unit (W, W'), besides, oxidised substances are at least partially oxidised in process of an exothermal reaction, besides, the flow (Ro) of spent air is heated additionally. At least partially cleaned heated flow of spent air through oxidisation (flow of cleaned gas) (Re) as the flow of the substance releasing heat is sent at least via one recuperative heat exchange unit (W, W'), and at the same time it delivers energy of activation for the exothermal reaction. Under too quick heating of the heat-absorbing contaminated flow of spent air (flow of uncleaned gas) (Ro) the volume flow of the heat-releasing at least partially cleaned heated flow of spent air (flow of cleaned gas) (Re) via a recuperative heat exchange unit (W, W') is reduced.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of the cleaning process and to reduce usage of energy from outside and costs for maintenance and operation of equipment.
