SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydrocarbon reforming process hardware and can be used in the gas chemical industry to produce synthesis gas. Natural gas steam conversion furnace includes a radiation chamber with a fuel combustion zone with burners above the synthesis gas production catalytic zone with vertical tube bundles, convection chamber with heat exchange zones for heating a mixture of purified natural gas and steam and recuperative heat exchange zones with bundles of horizontal pipes for heating process air, high pressure steam, a mixture of natural gas and hydrogen, conjugated with a boron, manifolds of process flows input to bundles of heat exchange tubes and manifolds of treated process streams discharge from bundles of heat exchange tubes, an air blower, a smoke exhauster. Radiation chamber is additionally equipped with heat exchange zone and additional burners in lower part. Bundle of vertical tubes of the catalytic zone of the radiation chamber is single-pass, with piping which provides a descending stream of the process medium in tubes filled with a catalyst. Bundle of vertical tubes of the heat exchange zone of the radiation chamber is single-pass, with piping providing an upward flow of the process medium in the tubes. Convection chamber is represented with a complex of two interconnected sections separated with a wall, with serial differently directed vertical ascending and descending flows of flue gases. At the flue gas pass between the radiation and convection chambers the first additional fuel combustion zone with burners is formed. On cross-flow of flue gases from first section of convection chamber into second additional zone of fuel combustion with burners is formed. Third additional zone for catalytic purification of flue gases from nitrogen oxides and additional recuperative heat-exchange zones for heating process air and a mixture of natural gas and hydrogen with bundles of horizontal pipes are formed in the furnace wing of the furnace in a stream of flue gases. Bundle of horizontal pipes in the convection chamber is arranged in the first and/or the second sections, at that it is combined with another bundle of horizontal pipes.

EFFECT: invention allows developing a furnace for steam conversion of natural gas, which provides variability of its use, improvement of efficiency coefficient and reduction of ecological damage to environment.
