FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: container for use in a paint sprayer, comprises the inner and outer surfaces and consists of a side wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, and forming an opening at one of its ends, designed for connecting the container to the spray device, and a lower support surface on its opposite end, and a plurality of protective plates adjacent to at least a part of the outer side wall surface, to protect this part of the outer side wall surface from contamination during operation of the spray device. At that each of the plurality of protective plates of the container is transparent or translucent, which enables to determine visually the level of paint in the container. The side wall has at least one separation mechanism that forms a removal point to remove from the container of at least a part of the outermost protective plate and any foreign substances on it. The level of paint in the container is determined on a scale of filling or other mark placed at the side wall or at least one protective plate. Also a method of removing foreign substances from the container is provided.

EFFECT: inventions provide the ability of long-term multiple use of the container while maintaining the visual control of the paint contained.
