SUBSTANCE: caterpillar chain element 2 comprises pin 3, bush 4, first and second inner assemblies 6', 6" and first and second outer assemblies 7', 7". Bush 4 is coupled with pin 3 to run thereabout. First 6' and second 6" inner assemblies are coupled with pin 3 to run thereabout and arranged at opposite sides of bush 4. First 7' and second 7" outer assemblies ate coupled with pin 3 to run therewith as a single unit. First inner assy 6' is arranged between first outer assy 7' and bush 4 while second inner assy 6" is arranged between second outer assy 7" and bush 4. Pin 5 comprises expanded section 8 defining first adjacent surface 9' and second adjacent surface 9" against which thrust first and second inner assemblies 6' and 6".

EFFECT: decreased load at gaskets and braces.
