FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method for construction of asphalt concrete pavement includes preparation of base, laying and compaction of the lower layer of pavement with further laying and compaction of the upper layer on top of lower layer which is still hot and surface treatment by crushed aggregate embedding. The upper layer with thickness of 1.5-3 cm is formed of granulated asphalt binding material obtained by pelletising with bitumen content less than 15%; crushed aggregate with particles size of 3-5 mm is pre-treated with asphalt binding material obtained by pelletising and used for surface treatment. At that quantity of asphalt binding material in the shell is 5-10% of crushed aggregate weight; consumption of crushed aggregate is not more than 5 kg/m2 and its embedding is made when the laid layer temperature is cooled down up to 80°C.

EFFECT: obtaining high-strength and durable asphalt concrete pavement with minimum content of expensive and high-strength granite macadam, reducing material consumption and weight.
