FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: cartridge chain comprises links composed of bent metal sheet plate with cartridges composed by case and bullet assembled in fan-like pattern to turn at an angle to each other and equipped with cartridge separator. Said links feature thickness not over 2.0 mm and length equal to six bullet gages. More than 55% of cartridge side surface are is clamped by link inner surface composed of four metal lugs. One pair of lugs are made to bullet diameter while another pair is shaped to cartridge diameter. Links are assembled to outer radius not exceeding 400 mm and inner radius not over 110 mm at twist angle of 180 degrees at belt pitch size nor exceeding 52.7 mm and not over 14 cartridges. Links separator is composed by hook and loop. Base hook features asymmetric angle of 70°…70°30', while hook bending radius makes at least 8…10 mm at clearance between hook and cartridge case not exceeding 1.0…1.5 mm. Loop features variable radii. Note here that first radius makes 100-101 mm while second radius makes 200-201 mm to allow connection of links in the chain with bending angle not exceeding 20 degrees.

EFFECT: reliable cartridge feed, higher rate of fire.
