SUBSTANCE: method of constructing very high throughput (VHT) long training field (LTF) sequences for wireless communication involves generating a LTF sequence by combining a plurality of interpolating sequences with LTF symbol values associated with at least one of: the IEEE 802.11n standard or the IEEE 802.11a standard, and one or more complementary sequences in order to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) during a transmission of the generated LTF sequence, and transmitting the generated LTF sequence over a wireless channel using an 80 MHz bandwidth.

EFFECT: reducing the PAPR during transmission of the generated LTF sequence.
