SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a protected sheet and a method of its manufacture. The protected sheet contains an information element subject to identification and a carrier formed by an opaque substrate, in which an opaque preferably fibrous strip is inserted, which has a surface A and a surface B. At that the said strip is made with the ability to tear along the said surface B and the said information element is located on the said surface B of the strip and/or opposite the said surface B of the strip.
EFFECT: proposed protected sheet provides its high degree of protection against counterfeiting and tampering.
