FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods for studying the mechanical properties of materials and means of implementation thereof, and can be used for testing and evaluating the adhesive strength of coatings applied onto thin-sheet samples. Substance: the tested coating is applied onto a thin-sheet sample made in the form of a square plate placed on a rigid base, the coated sample is secured by being adhered with a cylindrical counter-sample made without a coating, wherein the counter-sample is adhered by the end to the centre of the sample on the side of the tested coating, secured with a clamping ring connected with the base by securing bolts, the prepared block is hingedly installed in the grips of the testing machine so that the direction of the tensile load matches the vertical axis of the cylindrical counter-sample, subjected to impact of tear tensile load by moving the grips, gradually increasing the load until the test coating is torn from the substrate. The apparatus constitutes a block securing a sample made of a base material with the tested coating and a cylindrical counter-sample without coating by adhesion. The sample is made in the form of a square plate of a thin-sheet flexible material, placed on a rigid base. The counter-sample is adhered by the end to the centre of the sample on the side of the tested coating and secured from above with a pressure ring connected with the base by securing bolts. For hinged fastening in the grips of the test machine, the block is equipped with installation pins secured in threaded holes made in the counter-sample and the base.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of evaluating the adhesive strength of coatings on thin-sheet samples.
