FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of silicates and deals with compositions of glazes for application on facing ceramic tiles. Glaze contains, wt %: broken window and/or container glass 73-74; kaolin 3-4; melted NaOH and KOH alkalis 3-4; borax 3-4; zinc oxide 5-7; bone ash 9-11. Broken window and/or container glass is crushed, mixed with other components and melted at temperature 1400°C. Liquor is granulated into water. Obtained frit is grinded to complete passing through No 0056 mesh, and suspension with 45-50% humidity is prepared. Finished suspension is applied (by sputtering, pouring) on tile surface, dried and burnt at temperature 830-900°C. Frost-resistance of glaze constitutes 35-40 cycles.
EFFECT: increased frost-resistance of glaze.
