FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measurement of angles of object inclination in a 3D system of coordinates relative to gravity and magnetic fields of Earth and may be used, for instance, during horizontal directional drilling of wells. Substance of the invention: the sensor of object inclination angle comprises a body of two hemispheres (1, 2), every of which comprises a non-magnetic electroconductive sector isolated from each other (3). Inside the sectors (3) there is a ball (4) with a shifted centre of mass and zero buoyancy. One hemisphere of the ball (4) is made of electroconductive non-magnetic material (5), and the other hemisphere - from dielectric (6) and has a permanent magnet (7). The ball (4) is retained concentrically to hemispheres (1, 2) by a hydrostatic suspension due to forces of surface tension of a liquid (8), filling an equidistant gap ("A") along the spherical surface.
EFFECT: simplification and reduced dimensions of a device, its increased sensitivity and reliability, expanded measurement scale.
