SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The pest control composition contains as active ingredients an α-alkoxyphenylacetic acid derivative of formula (1): where X¹ is a methyl group, difluoromethyl group or ethyl group; X² is a methyoxy group or methylamino group; X³ is a phenyl group, 2-methylphenyl group or 2,5-dimethylphenyl group; and a neonicotinoid compound of formula (2): where A is 6-chloro-3-pyridyl group, 2-chloro-5-thiazolyl group, tetrahydrofuran-2-yl group or tetrahydrofuran-3-yl group; Z is a methyl group, a NHR² group, a N(CH₃)R² group or a SR² group; R¹ is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or ethyl group; R² is a hydrogen atom or methyl group; or R¹ and R² together can form a CH₂CH₂ group or CH₂OCH₂ group; X is a nitrogen atom or a CH group; and Y is a cyano group or nitro group. The composition is applied to pests or their habitat, to plants or where they grow. The composition can be applied in form of a combination of active ingredients.
