FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to diagnostics in dentistry. Method includes carrying out electromyography of symmetrical masticatory muscles by application of surface electrodes for electromyogram (EMG) registration. After that, value of coefficient of asymmetry of EMG amplitudes of right and left masticatory muscles is calculated and index of muscle useful work in chewing is determined. EMG registration is performed at the stage of performing chewing function by performing twenty chewing movements, at the stage of rest after chewing function and at the stage of rest after performing speech function. Presence of pathological phenomenology in form of parafunction spindles is additionally identified by visual estimation of electromyogram at the stage of rest after performing speech function. Coefficient of asymmetry of amplitudes from left and right masticatory muscles within 0.8-1.2 is estimated as 0 points, asymmetry within 0.6-0.8 and 1.2-1.4 is estimated as 1 point at the stage of performing chewing function and as 2 points at the stage of rest after chewing function. Asymmetry lower than 0.6 and higher than 1.4 is estimated as 2 points at the stage of performing chewing function and as 3 points at the stage of rest after chewing function. Excess of activity of any muscle at the stage after performing speech function over the background value is estimated as 1 point. Index of muscle useful work in chewing higher than 80% is estimated as 0 points, lower than 80% - as 1 point. Presence of pathological phenomenology in form of parafunction spindles is estimated as 2 points. If the total sum of points obtained by results of said stages is from 0 to 8, optimal functional state of dentoalveolar apparatus is diagnosed. If the sum of points is from 9 to 15, decreased functional state of dentoalveolar apparatus is diagnosed. If the sum of points is from 16 to 27, unsatisfactory of dentoalveolar apparatus is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method simplifies diagnosing procedure, and increases reliability of results.
