FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to separated dispersed particles from gases or vapors and may be used in power engineering, oil processing, petrochemical and chemical industries. Through-flow separator comprises flanged casing with inlet and outlet and fluid discharge opening. Said casing is composed by multistart helical surface with helical lines over perimetre and helical grooves inside the casing at 45 degrees to casing rotational axis in the form of pockets radius R circle with center of curvature of said pockets located inside casing cross-section. Said casing is composed of at least one coiled strip with turns connected along lengthwise edges. Said strip is bent along creases arranged at, at least 45° to said lines to make helical lines and helical surfaces on inner and outer surfaces at, at least 45 degrees to casing rotational axis in the form of circular pockets of radius R. Said pockets can differ in sizes. Note here that spacing between creases makes at least πR. Helical spring with device to vary turn pitch by spring compression or expansion is arranged along container length.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
