FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to protective devices of electric connectors and may be used for connection to power network of radiotechnical and electric apparatuses and instruments. Electric connector includes a plug with housing and contacts and a socket containing housing and contacts closed by locking mechanism in open state of connector. Locking mechanism includes at least one pair of sprung plates with locking elements. Plates are installed according to their opening order so that each consequent plate overlaps the previous one at least partially, and they are interconnected by locking mechanisms designed as slots on all the plates except the last one according to their opening order, and as projections starting from the second one. Plug housing is provided with projections of different altitude designed with possibility of interaction with corresponding plates in specified sequence. Quantity of projections on the plug housing is equal to quantity of plates installed with possibility of rotation in direction coinciding with direction of the plug input to the socket. Socket contacts are provided with current-conducting elastic members designed with possibility of grounding in connector open state and of grounding removal in closed state.
EFFECT: increasing protection degree of the socket contacts and safety upon diminishing connection effort, simplifying structure and improving reliability of connector operation.
