FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for milling of shaping cutter straight and helical teeth. Hobber comprises motor, moving table to support the billet, tool post to support moving carriage with mill slide equipped with tool spindle, and controlled generator of pulse trains to perform working displacements and adjustments to removing allowances and sizes. High-torque motor with built-in feedback pulse transducer is fitted on tool rest radial feed lead screw. Tool rest incorporates linear pulse transducer to ensure preset ratio between mill slide vertical and horizontal feed by means of controlled frequency divider.
EFFECT: higher precision of hobbing.
