FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: in the optical smoke detector comprising a base with a central through opening on which upper and lower surfaces, respectively, the smoke-intake and measuring chambers are mounted, at that the smoke-intake chamber comprises opaque partitions fixed on the lower surface of the base and distributed in the circumferential direction on its surface, mounted in circumferential direction with a gap relative to each other so that their outer end parts form open side surface of the smoke-intake chamber, and their side walls form the through channels for passage of smoke, the measuring chamber comprises a closed side fence fixed at the upper surface of the base, a light source, a photodetector, an opaque screen which prevents direct ingress of irradiation from the light source to the photodetector, at that, according to the invention, the opaque partitions in the smoke-intake chamber are made in the form of radially oriented plate fins which inner end parts are located near the through opening of the base, forming straight through channels for passage of smoke, the smoke-intake chamber comprises a plate bottom which area corresponds to the area of the through opening of the base, mounted under the said opening at the level corresponding to the level of location of the lower surfaces of the fins to form a slot-type opening for the passage of smoke, and in the measuring chamber the elements of labyrinthine light-reflecting system are located, which are distributed on the perimeter of the side fence.

EFFECT: increasing the speed of the proposed detector while ensuring uniform sensitivity and high degree of suppression of background light.
