FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water supply and specifically to treatment of water from surface sources by treatment with zone and can be used, in particular, to disinfect drinking water in water supply systems of cities and settlements. The contact tank includes: a pressure compartment with a water supply system, a discharge compartment with a system for discharging water to the consumer, a well as a system for feeding an ozone-gas mixture, a system for removal thereof and destroying residual ozone, gas-dispersing elements mounted in the bottom part of the contact tank and fitted with units for swirling the water stream in form of centrifugal sprayers, inputs of which are linked with the water supply system, which provides the necessary water pressure drop on the sprayers, and output nozzles in form of a circular slit are placed over the perforated surface of the gas-dispersing elements and parallel to said surface. Nozzles of the sprayers enable to wash off small emerging bubbles of the ozone-gas mixture with a flat jet of water and increase the degree of absorption of ozone with water. Systems for feeding raw water from the pressure compartment into the contact tank and feeding ozonised water into the discharge compartment are in form of perforated pipes mounted above the contact tank, under the level of the water and at the bottom, below the dispersing elements, parallel to each other and plugged at one end, wherein open ends of the pipes are linked with either the pressure compartment or the discharge compartment. Inputs of the centrifugal sprayers are linked with the pipes, through the open ends of which water enters from the pressure compartment, wherein the gas-dispersing elements have an ordinary disc shape and are uniformly arranged on the cross-section of the contact tank to form passages for allowing water and maintenance. The disclosed contact tank has two versions. In the first version (dwg. 1), open ends of the perforated pipes in the top part of the contact tank are linked with the pressure compartment, and open ends of the perforated pipes in the bottom part of the contact tank are linked with the discharge compartment. The version provides counterflow of water and the ozone-gas mixture. In the second version (dwg. 2), open ends of the perforated pipes in the top part of the contact tank are linked with the discharge compartment, and open ends of the perforated pipes in the bottom part of the contact tank are linked with the pressure compartment of the contact tank. The version provides co-current flow of water and the ozone-gas mixture. In both versions, inputs of the centrifugal sprayers mounted on the gas-dispersing elements are linked with the pressure compartment of the contact tank.
EFFECT: simple design of the gas-distributing elements, low cost of manufacture, mounting and maintenance, enabling wash-off of bubbles of the ozone-gas mixture with the water being treated also in the contact tank with counterflow of water and the ozone-gas mixture.
