FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing carbon-carbon material includes the following steps: (A) obtaining graphitised filler by calcining carbon fibre in form of bundles at temperature of 2000-2500°C and cutting said fibre; (B) aerodynamically mixing the graphitised filler with modified organic binder with high output of coke residue, containing coke powder in amount of 1-10 wt % of the weight of the binder; (C) forming a green workpiece from the mixture obtained at step (B); (D) carbonising said green workpiece, preferably at 800-1000°C; (E) saturating the workpiece obtained at step (D) with the binder under pressure, followed by carbonisation; (F) high-temperature stabilisation calcination. The organic binder used is sinter or synthetic resins. The compression strength of the material obtained using the method is not less than 180 MPa, and bending strength is not less than 125 MPa.

EFFECT: invention simplifies and lowers the cost of producing carbon-carbon material while increasing bending strength and compression strength, and improves frictional coefficient stability.
