FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. A FAP scans the neighbouring base stations provided in a network environment to collect base station identifiers. The FAP may detect a self-organising server, which in turn may cooperatively operate with an OAM&P server to provide configuration values to the FAP. The FAP automatically performs self-configuration without any or minimal user intervention.
EFFECT: easy deployment of FAP by providing FAP self-configuration.
