FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery industry. The field grinder has a removable device, such as a crop pickup or corn attachment, and a grinding drum with grinding blades. In front of the grinding drum downstream the harvested crop the hydrostatically driven compacting rollers are installed. The hydrostatic drive comprises a hydraulic motor and a hydraulic pump, kinematically connected to the mechanical drive of the grinding drum. The hydraulic pump is made with the ability to use, on one side, as a hydrostatic source of pressure for the hydraulic motor for driving the compacting rollers, and on the other side, as the hydraulic motor to reverse the drive of the grinding drum.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of a simple and economical reverse drive for compacting rollers and the grinding drum.
