SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery industry. The self-propelled agricultural machine comprises a drive of movement, a control element and at least one operating unit. The control element is made with the ability to move by the driver and is designed to control the speed. The operating unit at the choice of the driver may be active or inactive. The agricultural machine is made capable of deciding whether the recognised movement of the control element is normal movement of control or the emergency movement. The operating unit is transferred into the inactive state in the decision that the recognised movement is an emergency movement.

EFFECT: working agricultural machine in an emergency case can stop and provides decommissioning of the operating unit without unnecessary loss of time.
