SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of construction, namely, to a device and method of soil ramming. The ramming device comprises at least one moving drum made as capable of rotation around the shaft of the drum, connected vibration exciters, developing an oscillating torque around the shaft of the drum, besides, the specified vibration exciters contain unbalanced masses, which rotate not in the phase 180° in one and the same direction of rotation, and have a driving shaft moving coaxially to the shaft of the drum, for actuation of the vibration exciters. The drum is divided into at least once, each part of the drum comprises at least two connected vibration exciters installed in the drum at the distance from the drum shaft, and the vibration exciter of one part of the drum is connected with the vibration exciter of the other part of the drum.

EFFECT: invention provides for phase synchronisation of unbalanced masses during displacement of separated drums relative to each other.
