FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting of square cross-section pipe cutting. Pipe is arranged at shape support and cut by flat blade. Said support is composed of two symmetric plates with faces converging at their bottom at right angle for pipe to thrust there against. Said faces feature flat surface. Said plates are secured with clearance between them equal to blade thickness. Pipe is arranged on the support so that pipe faces interact with mating faces of the support. Flat blade is displaced towards support bed vertically from top to bottom to cut at least one pipe rib composed by its two top faces. Then, all pipe faces are cut at required angle between blade cutting edge and face.
EFFECT: higher quality of billets.
