SUBSTANCE: invention relates to policy and charging enforcement function nodes for a telecommunication network and methods of managing service provision in telecommunication network nodes. The method comprises steps of performing service traffic detection during a session; detecting a predetermined service condition from the service traffic detection and notifying a policy and charging rule function of the detected service condition through a service event defined in an AVP trigger over a Gx reference point; further determining whether a service stop condition is detected; and notifying, at the policy and charging rule function notification step through the service stop event, whether the service stop condition is defined as detected.

EFFECT: high quality of service for a detected service condition owing to establishment of suitable policy and charging rules.
