FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes product extraction from the lower stratum through a suction pipe passing through the packer dividing strata, product receipt and mixing with product of the upper stratum from over-packer zone to the pump suction, measurement of total production rate and water cut at daylight surface, measurement of intake pressure and operating parameter of the pump, measurement of pressure at the suction pipe length, shutdown of electric centrifugal pump and determining flow rate for the upper and lower strata, determining strata pressure against pressure recovery curves. Besides at shutdown of the electric centrifugal pump the product intake is cut off from the lower stratum due to pressure decrease at the shutoff valve in the suction pipe which is connected hydraulically to the pressure line section between the pump discharge and non-return valve in the flow column. Then water cut of the lower stratum product is determined against depths of gas-oil and oil-water interface levels in the suction pipe after stratification of three-phase mixture in the suction pipe during the pump shutdown.

EFFECT: defining flow rate and water cut for each developed stratum after shutdown of pumping equipment in the well.
