FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: hydrodynamic brake comprises case, two diametrically opposite spring-loaded displacers, covers and cam fitted on central drive shaft. Case has cylindrical working chamber to accommodate concentrically and tangentially the cylindrical rotor rigidly fitted on said central drive shaft to make crescent-shaped chambers. Rated thickness of rotor and displacers complies with the depth of cylindrical working chamber. Besides, said case has two diametrically opposite chambers abutting on cylindrical working chambers wherein displacer shafts run. Said shaft ate equipped with pushers articulated with said cam. Rotor features oval shape in plan. Rated thicknesses of cylindrical rotor and displacer are equal. Depth of opposed chambers equals double rated thickness of the rotor.

EFFECT: simple and reliable design with wide range of adjustments.
