SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of providing safety and rescuing people when travelling on major motorways and on railway crossings. The system for radio telephone messaging on motorways comprises a solar panel 1, optical concentrators, boards, photodiodes, reflectors, self-synchronous motors, a transparent hemispherical cap, a sealed box, microphones, call buttons, doweled transceiving antennae, a divider barrier, a microprocessor, high frequency generators, a tapped delay line 15.i (I = 1, 2,…n), phase inverters 16.j (j = 1, 2,…m), an adder, a signalling key, power amplifiers, radio transmitters, duplexers, heterodynes, mixers, a first intermediate frequency amplifier, phase detectors, a memory unit, a code comparing unit, actuating units, an audio signalling device, a light signalling device, a signal panel, radio receivers, multipliers, band-pass filters, a recording and analysis unit, a digital message source, a phase-shift modulator, a logic OR element, a switch, a correlator, a low-pass filter, an optimising peak-holding controller, a controlled delay unit, a range indicator, a critical range generating unit and a comparator unit.

EFFECT: safer road traffic on railway crossings through automatic determination of the distance from an approaching train to the railway crossing and automatic emergency braking of the train in case of a critical value of said distance.
